Minutes

Heather reviewed the summary from our last meeting.

Chandra suggested we highlight the compatible implementations on the JCP.org site. Heather showed the example of JSR 107, which provides the list of compatible implementations. This is a requirement of the JCP program for JSRs post Final Release. The PMO will follow up with the Spec Leads to ensure we have complete lists. Bruno suggested that most Java developers do not necessarily care about working on Specs through the JCP program. We need to educate them, similar to what we have done in the videos talking about joining the JCP program and advancing their career. We can create some short videos of the EC Members talking about the importance of the JCP program and compatibility, both around the September EC Meeting and at Code One. Heather will follow up to see if we can highlight at Code One through any other speaking opportunities.

Heather to summarize meeting; we will meet again Monday, 19 August to discuss strategies for communication to broader Java Community and feedback from EC.
