Changes in status as a result of attendance at this meeting

The EC Standing Rules state the following penalties for non-attendance at EC meetings (note that those who participate in face-to-face meetings by phone are officially counted as absent):

  • Missing two meetings in a row results in a loss of voting privileges until two consecutive meetings have been attended.

  • Missing five meetings in a row, or missing two-thirds of the meetings in any consecutive 12-month period results in loss of the EC seat.

There were no changes in voting status as a result of this meeting.

EC stats

Heather skipped the formal presentation of the EC stats (see the presentation for details).

2017 EC Elections

Heather reminded EC Members of the 2017 EC Elections dates.

2018 Calendar

Heather presented the revised and final dates and locations for the 2018 face to face locations and dates (see the presentation for details).

Java ME Working Group

Heather and Leonardo presented an update on the Java ME Working Group. Heather reminded interested EC Members to attend the WG meetings. The WG will meet again 29 November and monthly thereafter.

JCP.Next Working Group

Heather reported that the JCP.Next Working Group met on 31 October. The Maintenance Release of the current version of the JCP program process document has been published and is now in effect. The JCP.Next Working Group will meet again sometime after the next JCP EC F2F in January 2018.

JCP EC Communications

Heather reviewed updates from the JCP EC Communications (see the presentation for details) meeting on 31 October and reminded EC Member to utilize the materials on the EC private site. The WG will meet again on 28 November.
