Java Tools Community(JTC)announcement: "Software Vendors
Come Together to Launch Java Tools Community; Open Collaboration Forum
to Drive Tool Requirements through the Java Community Process":

"The Java Tools Community initiative adds great value to the JCP. It
encourages and synchronizes greater involvement of Java tools vendors
in creating Java technology standards," said Onno Kluyt, Director,
Java Community Process, Program Management Office. "The initiative
facilitates the combining of the expertise of the JCP members, such as
the tool vendors, with the field experience of users resulting in even
higher quality Java technology development tools and standards."

The SE/EE EC has voted to approve the Community Review draft of
JSR-212 Server API for Mobile Services (SAMS): Messaging

The Public Review Draft Specification for JSR-200 Network Transfer Format

**PUBLIC REVIEW**
One of the most eagerly awaited J2SE 1.5 component JSRs, JSR 201 is now
available in Public Review consisting of five new additions to the Java
programming language: typesafe enums, autoboxing/unboxing, enhanced
for-loop, varargs, and static import.  This JSR, in conjunction with
JSRs 14 and 175, represents the most significant enhancement to the Java
programming language since its creation.

The SE/EE Executive Committee has approved the Final Approval Ballot of:

**FINAL RELEASE**

The Expert Group for JSR-184 Mobile 3D Graphics API for J2ME has
published the Final Release of its specification per Section 3.4 of
the JCP document, version 2.1.
