The materials on this page are provided by the Maintenance Lead of this JSR for evaluation and feedback. These materials are not final, and are subject to change as the JSR progresses through the process.
Things that we did to improve transparency:
  • hosted JAXB RI on java.net
  • there was a also jaxb users list hosted on java.net. This was one of the most active mailing lists and provided a lot of useful feedback.
  • regular drafts of spec - Early Draft, Public Draft etc. This worked well.
  • all spec feedback was made available to EG members. We don't use an EG JCP mail alias. Instead we set up a spec-comments@jsr222.java.net mail alias, to which EG members could subscribe themselves. This was agreed to in the EG group.
