This JSR is being run as a java.net project in order to provide greater transparency to the community.

Observers of the project can subscribe to the users@servlet-spec.java.net email list. This list is a reflector for the expert group email list (jsr340-experts@servlet-spec.java.net) and receives all emails that are sent to the experts list. It can also be used for community discussion related to the JSR.

The schedule for this JSR is as follows:

  • Public Review: Q3 2012
  • Proposed Final Draft: Q4 2012
  • Final Release: Q1 2013

Recommended Areas for Providing Feedback

  • Review the spec and javadoc for incorrect or confusing descriptions or discrepancies or typos in the latest spec, JSR 340. File issues in SERVLET_SPEC.
  • Test features in Reference Implementation in GlassFish. File issues and submit patches to GLASSFISH
  • For any new feature requests, file issues in SERVLET_SPEC.
  • Explore non-blocking IO.
  • Try integration with other upgraded protocols.
