It seems to us that the principal consumers of WSDL are tool builders, and we would question whether tool providers require a special-purpose Java API instead of XML. Instead, isn't WSDL a great use case for JAXB (Java data binding)? 

So BEA does not see the value of defining a specific Java binding to WSDL. For every new XML schema, should the Java community define a wrapper API?
