While I wasn't entirely sure from the proposal and conf call with the Spec Lead, if scope and community support for this looked promising, there has been support especially on the JavaFX side. And a number of corporate EG Members joined. Especially since the MVC JSR aims at Web or even just JSF this could be a viable complement for desktop Rich UI. And at least on Java SE Embedded also promising towards a rapidly increasing market for small, Embedded devices.

Unless Andres is a self-employed freelancer I am however wondering, why he as Individual Member and not Canoo AG is proposed Spec Lead. I recall we discussed this based on examples like JSR 107 and it was said, this shall be handled differently for employees, especially if their company is already a JCP Member.
